Vietnam era XM3 Bipod with case (3rd Model), CAGE Code 26767 (American Standard Inc), almost in new condition, the XM3 "clothes pin" bipod for the M16 rifle was designed to provide a stable firing platform for the M16 thus enabling it to be used in the role of a light MG for close range fire support, in the manner of a BAR. The third model M3 Bipod carrying case closed with two snap fasteners and boasted a large zipped pouch for cleaning equipment. - None of my parts that I list as USGI early Vietnam Era Military surplus or USGI Military surplus are reproductions all where purchased prior to the era when reproduction parts where being made (20-40 years ago)
