Purebred Nubian Buckling Dairy Goat For Sale

Bottle baby born April 23rd, this handsome buckling named Polite Peter Potter has excellent confirmation and a pedigree with plenty of milk. He is disbudded, tattooed, and sells with registration application for both ADGA and AGS. He's a brown agouti (carries the black gene) with a large white spot on his right side.

This guy is built right. Strong front with great width through the hips that should produce easy kidding does who can carry a large udder without trouble.

His dam Beatrix easily earned her milk star and currently is producing over 12 pounds (6 quarts) a day. She produced 2200 pounds of milk in ten months in her first lactation and over 2500 in her second. Her udder is pictured.

His sire Cord is the son of consistent milker Cherry - who produced 10,000 pounds of milk in four years. He's an incredibly handsome, well-behaved old gentleman and is pictured this May when I washed him.

The price is for pickup by June 9th.

Drinking about three quarts of milk per day plus eating hay, grass, and grain. He's friendly, comes when called (mostly) and is learning to be lead. He should easily be able to breed by October - probably earlier.

Happy to provide more photos and information to serious buyers.

From a health-tested herd with nine years of milk testing records available.

If he's so incredible, why am I selling? Potter was supposed to be the buckling I kept. However, as sweet as he can be, he's also stubborn and can be a bit pushy. For example, when he's drinking from the milk feeder bucket, instead of just sucking, he'll hit the bucket a couple of times just because. Potter is not mean; he just likes to get his way. In my situation, the bucks live together year round and I'm extremely picky about temperment. He's not a good fit for my operation, but I'm confident he'll do fine for most people.

I have a wether who could go along as a companion for a small fee.
